TOWER NZ approached The People Group to assist their management team to effectively leverage internal skill capabilities, ensure engagement and promote high performance.
Upon investigation, The People Group recommended that the most effective way of achieving the specified objectives would be through the application of coaching methodologies. We designed a coaching programme around the GROW (Goals, Reality, Opportunities and Wrap-up) model in order to ensure leaders within the organisation had the skills and capability necessary to leverage internal skill capabilities, ensure engagement and promote high performance. Selected participants attended a two-day coaching workshop designed to develop and refresh key coaching skills. A coaching diary was also designed to provide coaches with the framework to track and manage measurable coaching outcomes more effectively.
Feedback and observation from coaches has indicated strong success in the effective leverage of internal capability and an increase in employees engagement and satisfaction. Subsequent review of coaching diaries has shown marked changes in behaviour as well as the ability to track and ensure measurable improvement over time. Cultural improvements through changes in conversation patterns, language use, and interactions between employees have also been noted.
