Metrowater approached The People Group to consolidate their HR function. An opportunity was created when the incumbent HR Manager left for an overseas relocation. Costs needed to be rationalised without losing the internal customer delivery to the employees.
A Contractor was placed at the Strategic HR Director level for varying hours over a 2 – 3 year period, and more recently due to internal attrition another contractor has been place at the Senior HR Advisor level. The composition of the team has significantly changes in terms of their ability to deliver at a range of levels with a greater degree of flexibility.
Internal feedback in terms of employee feedback as measurd by an external survey is very positive. HR queries have reduced due to more effective reporting and systemisation of processes. Costs have reduced within the team by over 30%.
